WinMac Telemetry Software
Free application software download Windows:
A free program to add a Macintosh menu bar to the Microsoft Windows desktop. The program allows users to choose from several different visual layouts. The menu bar can be arranged to emulate System 7, Mac OS 8 and 9, or Mac OS X Aqua. A variety of settings can be changed, such as wallpaper, theme color, cursor, and what font is used on the screen. This feature was introduced in WinMac 3.
The program is designed to collect instrument telemetry data and display the results using a series of pull down menus and dialogs. The telemetry data is transmitted as compressed 24-bit STEREO/HET packets over the TCP/IP protocol from the PHA ASICS chip in a standardized format. The data packets contain pulse height information which can be displayed in either a vertical or horizontal manner. The packets are then analyzed by the program to determine an average pulse height over time. This information is then compared with the corresponding values recorded in the ASICS system memory and stored as a result in the program's DATA file.
The program is available from many websites, but some of these sites bundle adware and custom installers with the software. Some good sites include Ninite, which offers one-click downloads of popular software without adware or other crapware. Other sites that offer ad-free software include CNET and SourceForge. Some sites also provide a list of other freeware downloads.
